Managing Attorney and owner

Laneyscha Echevarria is a multi-barred attorney specializing in real estate, corporate governance, commercial transactions, and contracts. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2017. During her law school years, Laneyscha was an editor and director of the editorial law review. She also worked as a research assistant for two renowned published authors and law professors, collaborating with their upcoming book publications on for-profit and non-profit corporations, condominium law, and tributary law. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Laneyscha clerked for Justice Felix Figueroa Caban in the Court of Appeals and participated in a winter exchange program in Ottawa, Canada, focused on art, technology, and law. 

Following Hurricane Maria, Laneyscha relocated to Delaware, where she worked for several years at established law firms, gaining professional experience in commercial and residential real property matters and transactions, business planning and formation, complex corporate affairs, and federal tax matters. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Laneyscha established L. Echevarria Attorneys at Law, becoming the only Latina attorney in Sussex County offering and conducting real estate transactions in Spanish and English.  

Laneyscha is passionate about serving her community and has dedicated her legal career to providing high-quality, personalized legal services to her clients. She loves traveling, trying new cuisines, gardening, and spending time with her fiancé and adopted fur babies, Konan and Teo. Laneyscha is an active member of the American Bar Association and is admitted to the Delaware Bar, New York Bar, Puerto Rico Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and United States Tax Court.

Sohany López– Operations and Marketing Director

Sohany comes to L. Echevarria Attorneys at Law, with a wealth of experience in retail management, client relations, and marketing. She holds a bachelor's degree in photography and graphic design from Sagrado Corazon and Atlantic College in Puerto Rico. Her professional experience prior to joining our firm has enabled her to create innovative and modern marketing and operational strategies.  

Sohany oversees our firm’s operational activities at every level to ensure compliance and a seamless process for our clients. Her attention to detail and keen eye for quality control ensure that our clients receive the best possible experience while bringing a fresh perspective to our team. Sohany is fully fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys photography, videography, graphic design, gardening, and morning walks at the beach. 

Paola Arredondo - Paralegal

Paola Arredondo is an accomplished and dedicated professional who recently graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Law Studies. Throughout her academic journey, Paola consistently demonstrated a remarkable commitment to excellence, earning prestigious accolades such as a place on the Dean's List and President's List. Her exceptional academic achievements culminated in the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude upon graduation.

Committed to community involvement, Paola actively participates as a member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (N.O.B.L.E) and previously held a senator position in the Dreamers Activism and Community Alliance Organization. These roles allowed her to contribute to the advancement of important causes and develop strong leadership skills.

Paola's experience extends beyond her academic achievements. She has gained valuable practical knowledge through internships, including working with the Office of Lieutenant Governor Hall-Long on opioid distribution research and assisting the legislative staff of Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester. These experiences provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the policy-making process and the importance of effective communication in the legal field.

With exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills, Paola easily connects with clients and colleagues alike. Her ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently further enhances her ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals.

Furthermore, Paola's commitment to empowering underrepresented individuals is evident through her participation in the Penn Carey Law Outreach Program and completion of the Career Launch Academy. These experiences equipped her with valuable skills and insights into the legal profession, further fueling her passion for justice.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Paola enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular gym workouts, and finding solace in music.

As a firm believer in personal growth, Olivia is currently pursuing a human services degree at Delaware Technical Community College, with an expected graduation in spring 2024. More than a professional pursuit, Olivia’s true fulfillment lies in bringing smiles to people's faces and helping them find their forever homes.
